Just a new beginning

Who are we?
We are a group of few people, who met each other at different times and for various reasons. Some are childhood friends, some were colleagues at work place, some were introduced through common friends. We have been involved in few treks, picnics, celebrations, hang outs and eventually what formed is a strong sense of belongingness.

Why are we here?
There have been many transformations since we met. From being possible to meet every day to every week, we have now come to a position where some of us can't even think of seeing each other in couple of years. This necessitates us to stay in touch in this virtual world. And blogs are the perfect platform which can facilitate this.

Why blogs?
  1. Easy to use
  2. Easy to track and maintain
  3. Interactive way of communication
  4. Easy archival of posts(after all we live with our memories)
  5. Great platform to be heard
Why are we here? (revisited)
We always wanted to be helpful to the society in some or the other way. Some ventures that we undertook were not successful or did not shape up as we wished them to do. The basic reason being the time factor. Now, blog is one of the best platforms which we can harness for our cause. There are various ways in which we can be of some help to our society through our blogs. And this would surely need the minimum of our efforts.
Let me exemplify what I have in my mind. Currently, US is on the verge of witnessing Presidential elections. There is much rivalry between the opposite parties. But they put forth their political ideas and condemn the other party through writings. You can see the maximum number of blogs floating today are the political ones. In India, for the same scenario, we would have observed violence amongst different parties to condemn others. The other day there was a series of bomb blasts in New Delhi.
Can we not make a habit to express all our views and ideas in a way which involves non-violence? After all there is an old saying which I would like to quote here: 'Pen is mightier than a sword'.
Apart from this, we can also use our blogs to discuss social issues like floods, etc which need immediate attention and relief. Those who are physically working on the site to provide relief can use our blog posts to collect useful information. But to achieve this, we should keep posting valuable information on our posts so that we will get heard.

Lets set a voyage to travel together for rest of our lives.
